An attacker and solid climber, Kišerlovski finished 10th overall at the 2010 Giro d’Italia while riding in support of winner Ivan Basso, and he aims to return to the Italian race in 2013 as the leader of the RADIOSHACK LEOPARD TREK squad. Contrary to many riders, Kišerlovski prefers the Giro over the Tour, possibly because the Tour de France of 2012 didn’t bring him any luck. On Stage 14 he suffered the most when the road was sabotaged with tacks, causing him to crash, breaking his collarbone, and was left having to abandon the race. Also in 2011 he got famous on TV while crashing in Paris-Nice on a slippery downhill, sliding underneath a parked truck, being caught underneath it for several minutes and needing eight stitches.
Without any doubt he is the best Croatian rider of the peloton, having won national titles on the road, time trial and cyclocross.
Kišerlovski is also expected to perform well in the Ardennes classics after having finished fifth at the last Flèche Wallonne and having played an important role in Maxim Iglinskiy’s Liège-Bastogne-Liège victory.
